The Nelson Mandela – Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation (SETI) Week at NM-AIST

Nelson Mandela SETI Week

Kicking off on 18 July, Nelson Mandela`s birthday and International National Mandela Day, this week sees a variety of activities at NM-AIST celebrating the former South African President and his visions.

NM-AIST is part of a network of Pan-African Institutions of Science and Technology located across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) that not only carry the first democratically elected president of a free South Africa but his spirit as well. The institution`s aim is to train and develop the next generation of African scientists and engineers with a view to impacting profoundly on the continent’s development through the application of Science, Engineering and Technology and Innovation (SETI).

This year, the SETI Week from 18 – 22 July celebrates the man and the mission with a variety of lectures and other activities under the theme ““Technology Transfer and outreach Services for Societal and Industrial Development ”. You can find all the details in the programme below.
